Sharon Hunt

Based near Bury St. Edmunds in Suffolk, 29 year old Sharon has been riding since she was about seven and got her first pony by the time she was ten.  After that there was no going back and she has been working hard towards her current successes ever since. Glad she is able to work outdoors, Sharon spends most of her mornings riding, starting at about 7.30am.  She teaches in the afternoons, often having to have lunch 'on the run' but loves what she does - although Sharon would quite happily live somewhere hotter!  Sharon’s ideal fantasy dinner guest list would include many of her equestrian contemporaries such as Zara Phillips, William Fox-Pitt and Andrew Nicholson as well as Carl Hester and the Whitaker brothers (Add in some great food and wine and I would love to be a fly on the wall!).

We asked Sharon a few questions and here are her replies....................

What are your plans for the future?
I would love to ride at the Olympics in 2008 and, of course, I want to improve my placings at Badminton and Burghley!’

Which are your favourite Baileys products?
‘I am really impressed with the way Jasper looks since we started feeding him All-Round Endurance Mix, it suits his fizzy temperament as he can be a bit sharp if fed the wrong thing!  We also use Top-Line Conditioning Cubes for many of horses too.’

What couldn’t live without?
‘My grooms, especially Sophie, my head girl!’

What do you do when you are not with the horses?
' I love sports and if I get the chance to go skiing or water skiing I will.  I also like cycling although I have been known to fall off it a few times!'
