Jill's first love is showjumping, having been groom to International riders for a number of years. She now owns a mare, who is successfully jumping in 1.30m classes, and a homebred gelding who is giving her a taste of being an event horse owner, as he is competed for her by a young rider and who has been successful at Novice level, with ambitions to move up the grades.
Caroline loves dressage and hacking and is currently enjoying the process of watching her young coloured mare, whom she bred herself, being backed and ridden away. She can't wait to get in the saddle and enjoy riding "India" herself! Here she is pictured with India's mum, Jaz.
Angie was brought up with horses on her parents' mixed farm, in North Yorkshire, where she always enjoyed breaking in and schooling young horses and competing in local events. She subsequently spent several years grooming for National and International Showjumpers.
August 2017 brings a new challenge in the form of a four-year-old Irish Draught x Thoroughbred mare, called Penny, who Angie hopes will become a good alrounder on whom she can enjoy competing locally.
Simon's main interest is flat racing and he used to ride out for trainers in Newmarket. He is also keenly involved with his father, Paul's, Petches Farm Stud. Here he is pictured with Baileys' ex-racehorse, Baileys En Premier, aka "Cracker", whose progress he is watching with interest as he embarks on a change of career with Marketing Manager, Jane Buchan!
Judy's main interest is racing and Thoroughbred breeding and supporting her son David, who rides as an amatuer jockey. Although she now has no horses of her own, she takes particular pleasure in her Zwartbles, white-faced black sheep!
Mark used to ride in point-to-points but now enjoys hacking, jumping and hunting his ex-pointer, Bisto. He is also a very able event groom and lorry driver and supports wife and Marketing Manager, Jane, on competition days.
Graham has owned his horse, Sapphire, from a 3 year old. Now 18, they spend most of their time hacking and practising horse archery. Graham has been in involved in recreating aspects of historical riding for many years; anything from Roman cavalry displays through to English Civil War battles.
Sam used to ride in point-to-point races and subsequently retrained two ex-racehorses for unaffiliated dressage and jumping. She no longer has an equine partner and is enjoying pedalling a two-wheeled mount with her local cycling club instead!
Liz has owned Duke (Dukeofganymede) since he was a foal and enjoys all the fitness work and training involved in preparing him for eventing which he has done, with Marketing Manager, Jane Buchan, up to Intermediate level.
Jane is a keen event rider and enjoys competing her horse, Carleton, aka "Precious" up to 2* level. She also competes Nutrition Director, Liz's horse Duke and is currently retraining Baileys ex-racehorse, Baileys En Premier, (Cracker) for a new career as an event horse.
Paul co-founded Baileys with George Knowles and his passion is for breeding Thoroughbreds for flat racing, on his Petches Farm Stud. Here he is pictured with the late "Mister Baileys", whom he spotted as a yearling and bought to run on the flat for Baileys. Mister Baileys won the 2000 Guineas in 1994 and retired to stud shortly after. He then spent his twilight years with Paul at Petches.
