Baileys Horse Feeds is owned by F H Nash Ltd, one of the UK’s largest manufacturers of horse and smallholder feeds under the Baileys, Hilight, Badminton and Fancy Feed brands.

Do you have?

An excellent command of the English language, especially written, with a complete understanding of the use and importance of correct grammar, punctuation, spelling and sentence structure AND enthusiasm and passion for the horse industry, equestrian sport and the countryside.

Are you?

A good, confident communicator and administrator, computer literate (MS Office, Word, Excel etc, plus ideally some experience with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop & Premiere Pro) AND flexible, adaptable and willing to learn.

This exciting role within a small busy Marketing Department requires an enthusiastic individual who is willing to muck in with the day to day running of the department as well as fulfilling their own responsibilities. These will include overseeing event sponsorship activities and liaising with sponsored riders, the production of editorial and other promotional copy for press, web and social media, as well as the co-ordination of the brands’ social media presence. The successful candidate will have office or other commercial experience and have the opportunity to develop their role within the team.

The position is based at Baileys’ Head Office near Braintree in Essex. Company pension and health scheme available. Salary commensurate with skill level.

Detailed Job Description

1. To assist in the day-to-day running of a busy Marketing Department, including answering the telephone, printing and co-ordinating the issuing of vouchers, monitoring press coverage, administration for sponsored riders and events and liaising with sales reps regarding promotional events.

2. To assist in the development, design and content of the F H Nash brands web sites, namely Baileys Horse Feeds, Fancy Feed Company and Badminton Country Feeds. To include uploading and updating of content and liaising with the designer (Brand Manager) developer and hosts.

3. To assist in the development, planning and implementation of electronic (email and web-based) marketing campaigns, including copy, fulfilment, monitoring of results and updating of the CRM database, as well as the use and integration of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube etc), for all F H Nash brands.

4. To assist with the writing and sending out of Press Releases, product editorial and other magazine and online copy and to assist in the monitoring and evaluation thereof.

5. To liaise with the Marketing Manager regarding the planning of editorial, articles, competitions, giveaways etc and coordinate the fulfilment of winners of prizes etc.

6. To assist the Marketing Manager with the planning and administration of sponsored events, including organising signage, prizes, representation etc.

7. To assist with the production of promotional and in-house literature and regional sales/stockist support material, including both design and lay-out and copy writing.

8. Attend outdoor and indoor events to set up and man tradestands, advise customers, host prize winners and present prizes.
