Can it really be spring??

Well the weather as yet has not really improved! As we got ready to go to the Southern Spring Show I put on thermals, two tops, a shirt plus a cashmere V-neck and hacking jacket, ready for the first class at 8.30! There was a white frost all the way there! Note to self, I must be mad!

Tarvos came second to Jane Ross riding Cob in Hood, a cob I found in Ireland as a four year old, in a very strong Light Weight Cob class. Volantis was also second in another big class, in fact both classes were the biggest so far. My favourite, Jovian, a.k.a. Pinki, picked up another win in the Maxi Cob qualifier and then went on the win the Total Impact Equestrian Side Saddle class. He is such a good boy for a 5 year old and is really looking good on the new Baileys
No.20 Slow Release Condition & Competition Mix, his coat is great and his brain is excellent! Will definitely be getting more of that.

Sunday’s show also proved a good day for the Baileys team. The "outshine" cobs went on to win the Light
Weight and Heavy Weight Cob classes, while their
stable mate was third in the Maxi Cob class. Tarvos was in good form. In the Light Weight class the judge commented on his ride while stable mate, Volantis, was Reserve Champion. Both will have some time off now before the Devon County show, while the others are off to one of my favourite shows next, Royal Windsor! Not sure how we will do as they are young horses. Fingers crossed.
