South of England Show 2019

It was a good day at the South of England show. May Day Flyer won the Hunter Championship in one of my favourite rings. Despite the dry spell, the going was just right, and the ring was big enough for a really good gallop. With a spare place in the lorry it was time to bring the new 4-year-old for a ride around. It’s the first time he has left the yard and he was great just hacking around meeting heavy horses, show jumpers, in-hand horses, lorries and all sorts! It won’t be long before he is out competing, so, look out for Peligon.

Well, it’s been a busy week! Back to South of England on Friday and we had a good day in the rain! Epimetheus won the Lightweight Cob class and went on to become Reserve Champion. Meanwhile, Starfall took second place in the Heavyweight Cob class. Cappa Sham won the Maxi class and went on to become Reserve Coloured Champion.

We went home for a quick change, and sort out, before we were off to Bury Farm with Mr Oosh for the Racehorse to Riding Horse class. Guess what, he is off to Horse of the Year Show, making it three so far that will be going off to Birmingham in October
