BSHA National Championship Show 2017

With HOYS just around the corner, I used the British Show Horse Association National Championships as a warm up! With evening performances each day, it was ideal to get Jovian into the lights, sounds, gallery and all the razz in preparation for HOYS. So, to spend time on him I only took 2 Baileys boys. We spent four nights in the lorry with three dogs and two puppies, in the rain, what can I say!

Jovian did the Classic Side Saddle class on the first day and came second, a good opportunity to go into the indoor arena as rain forced the organisers to move the class indoors. This was followed by an evening performance in the Classic Supreme Maxi Cob class where he took ninth place, which was a bit disappointing as he went well.

Planet Nine, who has never seen anything like it, did the Novice class and finished sixth, moving right up as he was drawn very low down on the pull in. Although still green he coped really well.

On the second day Jovian did the Side Saddle Championship and again went through to the evening performance where he was second Reserve Champion. All in all, a good pre-HOYS experience! Jovian also took fifth place in the Maxi HOYS class whilst Planet Nine did the Restricted cob class and finished second. He went into an evening performance, which he just about coped with! Next stop Newbury!!
