ID Regional Championships

It was a bright Sunday morning as we headed off to Wincanton Horse Show with Jovian for the ID South West Championship. Bear also went as a 4 year old.  It is a good show ground as there is masses of room to work, it’s not spooky and there are fab, big rings - almost too big for him as by the time I had worked him in he was knackered! But he came third. Pinkie (Jovian) was a star and Reserve Champion, a great result for a novice horse, especially as the winner was 13 years old. So we came home with £100.00! Next stop is Wales and West Show! Let's hope the traffic is kinder as it took four hours to get home!!

The Wales and West Show was 150 miles away, over the Severn Bridge. We arrived in Wales at 8am but there were no traffic jams so that was a bit of a plus! Volantis got his HOYS ticket in a huge heavy weight class at David Brooms great place. There was masses of parking, huge surface rings and it was nice and quiet!

Tarvos went really well to finish fifth, the highest placed novice in one of the biggest classes yet! So we had a good day and completed a 7 hour drive! We even saw the same Baileys Lorry on the way up and on the way back! Stoneleigh Horse Show next. Not sure which horses we are taking yet as I think the going is going to be very hard!
