Meet Helios

Well, it was another busy weekend! On Saturday, we travelled 460 miles up to the Northern Show! The venue is quiet and, as it’s on a surface, the going is good as the ground is now so hard.

Epimetheus did the Light Weight Cob class and went well but the judges preferred the older cobs! They gave me very good feedback but, unfortunately, he was not placed and I was a bit disappointed. Stable mate, Star Fall, went fab and was pulled in top but went down to third place, but I guess that’s showing!

So, from the sublime to the ridiculous. on Sunday, I went to Cranleigh show, which is 6 miles down the road, and had a far better day. Meet Helios, a new Coloured cob. It was his first time out and he was Champion Coloured in-hand and Champion Coloured under saddle. So, had to go into the supreme! Coped well, not sure I did though. Mr Oosh also won the in-hand ex-racehorse class and qualified for Aintree. All-in-all, busy all round.
