The Thame Horse & Country Show

What a great day the team had at the Thame Horse & Country Show!! Cappa Sham started the morning with a win in the coloured class and the coloured championship before going on to win the Maxi class and his second championship of the day. Stable mate, Volantis, won the heavyweight class and baby Bear was second in the light weight class. And it was hot!! But the going was good as the show rings had been watered for 10 days prior to the show.

The best result for me was taking the ex-racehorses out for the first time! Mr Ooosh, having arrived from racing to me early June, won the novice class on his first outing, qualifying for Aintree. Thanks to Baileys new feed, No.21 Ease & Excel, he did just that! He looked like a show horse! He only just coped with the hounds, the show jumping in the collecting ring adjacent and the music from the main ring close by! His stable mate, Tiger Feat, couldn't quite cope. He had to leave the ring as it was just too much. But all in all it was a good day with four wins and two championships, just about covering my Diesel. Next stop looks to be a very wet Newbury - if it goes ahead!
